Our Computer Lab continues to have an air of excitement! We use
computers as tools for researching, learning, communicating and
for presenting our personal projects. We use computers as tools
that help us share our talents. We improve our computer literacy
skills, enhance our PowerPoint slide shows and update our computer
logs. We improve our Math, Reading, and Grammar with our A+ Learning System (ALS) and our Accelerated Reading Program (AR). We use high level
programming tools to transform our storyboard ideas into games or
interactive stories. These student-authoring tools help us to create
non-linear projects about our SLEs. Yes, we like to play games but
we especially like to CREATE multimedia games and digital productions.
We are reminded to use technology in a proper way and to use media
effectively. We learn to use the computer to help ourselves and
our families as well as others. We learn strategies for solving
problems and for researching topics on the World Wide Web. We've
even heard sounds from outer space on NASA's website. The internet
helps us to expand our world view to help make us globally aware
citizens.
