Welcome to the Mission Parish School website. Mission Parish School is a Catholic Parochial school with single grade classrooms from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Ideally located on the beautiful grounds of the Mission San Juan Capistrano, the school site is nestled between the Historic Mission San Juan Capistrano, the Jewel of the Missions, and the Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano, a National Shrine. Founded in 1928, Mission Parish School is steeped in a rich heritage begun over 200 years ago by the Blessed Junipero Serra. Our curriculum is enriched by traditions celebrated throughout the school year. We feel our students have the best of both worlds. They are surrounded every day by history and yet attend school in a new, state of the art facility, built in 2000.

We offer an educational program of academic excellence. Mission Parish School pursues rigorous academic standards that are in line with the Diocese of Orange and the State of California. The school fosters a strong program of moral character formation while seeking to provide a comprehensive study of foundational academic skills. We seek to nurture and educate the whole child, with attention to the intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional well being of each student entrusted to our care. Through our academic coursework, character development, faith formation, fine arts programs, social activities, and athletics, Mission Parish School works to form responsible community members who will serve as leaders in the generations to come.

We offer our students a faith community rich in spiritual development with service opportunities. Students in all grades are involved in prayer services, liturgy preparation, class retreats, and daily religion classes. As a school community, we join the Parish each Friday morning and on Holy Days of Obligation to celebrate Mass. Our students participate in numerous community service projects that are organized through the school, parish, and community.

Mission Parish School endeavors to provide academic excellence rooted in Catholic values and traditions by offering a comprehensive and holistic education. We recognize the uniqueness of each child, nurture their capabilities, provide them with opportunities to develop leadership skills, and encourage them to achieve their optimal spiritual, academic, and creative potential.
