Admissions Information for the 2010-2011 School Year

Mission Parish School is a single grade school for students in Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. We offer a Pre-Kindergarten program for those children who are four years old by September 1st. There is a morning program from 8:00-11:00 Monday through Friday, an afternoon program from 11:30-2:30 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and a full day program from 8:00-2:30 Monday through Friday. Our Kindergarten is a full day program for those children who are five years old by September 1st. The hours of operation are the same at the rest of the school, 8:00-2:30. We also offer a Middle Grades Program for our sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. This program consists of specialized teachers in a modified Junior High setting.

Registration begins in early March but you are invited to call and put your name on our waiting list at any time. For new students to our school, we give a grade specific assessment exam before registration or acceptance. Please have the following items ready before registering for our school:

  • Most recent report card
  • Most recent standardized test scores
  • Immunization records
  • Baptism certificate
  • First Holy Communion certificate, if applicable

Tuition may be paid in 1 annual payment or 11 monthly payments. All tuition payments are made through FACTS.

All FACTS accounts will require a set-up fee of $10 for 1 annual payment or $38 for 11 monthly payments.

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX are accepted with a convenience fee.

Academic Decathlon Team                    $250 per team member - Covers the cost of study  

                                                              materials, team jacket, Mock Decathlon fees,

                                                              Diocesan Decathlon fees, etc.

 

Booster Club                                          $15 per family

Drama Club                                            $100 per participant

Graduation Expenses (8th Grade) **      $200 per student - covers the diploma, retreats,

                                                               Disneyland trip, dinner-dance, etc.

Pali Leadership Camp (8th Grade)**      $300 per student - covers the approximate cost of  

                                                               the 3-day camp including the bus

Pilgrim Trip (4th Grade) **                      $85 per student - covers the entire cost of the

                                                               overnight trip

Riley's Farm (5th Grade) **                    $120 per student - covers entire cost of the

                                                               overnight trip

Science Camp (6th Grade) **                 $325 per student - covers the approximate cost of

                                                               the 4-day trip including the bus

Serenade Dinner/Dance/Auction **         $150 per person - All parents are

                                                               encouraged to participate in our annual Dinner-

                                                               Dance fundraiser

Sports                                                     $50 per sport per child
